about ndlabs

Built with the people who use it

ndLabs brings NetDocuments engineers and Legal Innovation Partners together with customers to design and build AI applications side by side. We start with your workflow and build something you can actually try.

who
A few customer teams, up to two people each, attending both sessions.
with
NetDocuments engineers and Legal Innovation Partners who design and build our AI applications with customers.
how
Chatham House Rule. We work from sample documents, never client material. There is no cost to take part.
after
A summary of what we built and learned, plus a route into product review. A prototype is not a product commitment.

FAQs

What is ndLabs?
A hands-on innovation community where select customers work directly alongside NetDocuments product leaders, forward-deployed engineers, and Legal Innovation Partners — through workshops, innovation sprints, prototype reviews, and collaborative research. It runs year-round, virtually and in person, including sessions hosted at member firms and alongside industry events.
Is this a customer advisory board?
A customer advisory board reacts to what we’re already building. ndLabs members work alongside our product and engineering teams to find problems, co-design solutions and test prototypes, so their input shapes products directly.
Who is ndLabs for?
Innovation leaders, KM professionals, legal ops teams, AI champions, and forward-thinking attorneys at firms actively investing in AI.
How do I join?
Membership is by invitation and limited, based on innovation focus, engagement and strategic fit. If you’re interested, talk to your NetDocuments account team.
Will our firm’s data or work product be used to train AI?
No. ndLabs is collaborative design and prototyping work, and NetDocuments’ existing data and AI commitments still apply. Law firms will ask this before anything else.
