What it is

Legal AI Assistant is a secure, confidential AI-powered chat interface built directly into NetDocuments. It reads documents that are already stored in your firm's document management system and answers questions about them in plain language.

You select a document, ask a question, and get a direct answer, with citations pointing to exactly where in the documents the information was found.

Legal AI Assistant simply helps you do what you already do, much faster.

What it is not

  • Legal AI Assistant is not a search engine.
  • It does not handle general business processes.
  • It does not work on documents that are not in NetDocuments.

Popular use cases

Get up to speed on a matter quickly

Ask the Assistant to orient you on a matter before a call or meeting. It reads the documents you select and returns a summary of the key facts, parties, obligations, and issues. What used to take one to two hours of reading takes a few seconds of asking.
Provide a detailed introduction of the case, including the names of the parties involved, the date of the incident, and the location where it occurred.

Needle in a haystack

When you need one fact, one clause, one date, or one provision, you don't have to read the entire document to get it. Ask directly. The Assistant finds it and returns it with proof!
